In celebration of the 2017 International Day of the Girl, with the theme "EmPOWER Girls: Before, during and after crises," Accord-Bridge Foundation hosted an interactive session at Model Girls Secondary School, Rumueme, Port- Harcourt. This event is part of our Teenpreneur Programme, which aims to nurture young girls into future entrepreneurs by providing them with the skills, mentorship, and support they need to succeed.
The session highlighted the unique struggles and discrimination that girls face globally, including limited access to education and gender-based violence. We engaged the students in conversations about resilience, self-confidence, and the importance of pursuing their ambitions despite societal challenges. By fostering a proactive mindset, we are helping these girls develop the skills and determination necessary to become leaders and change-makers in their communities.
