In most Nigerian communities women face socio-cultural practices that limit their access to productive assets. These practices exclude women from inheritances, the right to own land, and the right to formal education and skills acquisition. These barriers limit their access to professional networks and economic resources which could have impacted their overall well-being. These barriers also stunt the development of these communities.
The Accord-Bridge Foundation hopes to eliminate these barriers by providing a series of education programmes, training, and vocational skills acquisition to these target populations in communities of Nigeria. We create pathways of support for less privileged women and girls in order to help them become financially self-sufficient. This is because we believe that women's economic empowerment is a key indicator of ending poverty and improving society's overall economic development.
To be a catalyst for a Nigerian where all women and girls from less privileged backgrounds enjoy full citizenship, earn a livelihood with dignity and create wealth and value for all.
To empower less-privileged women and girls in Nigeria by providing them with skills and opportunities for economic independence.
To empower 1,000 Women and Girls annually.
